For those of you who conceived soon after a miscarriage

I am having trouble conceiving after a miscarriage 5 months ago. If you conceived right after a miscarriage, did you do anything differently (eat certain foods, exercise more/less, acupuncture, herbs, sex every day/every other day, use OPKs, etc)? I'm having trouble moving on and wondering if my mental state is in the way. Can anxiety/stress really prevent conception? Or maybe my body is just not ready to be pregnant? I keep hearing success stories of women conceiving 2 or 3 months after miscarriage. If you're one of them, please share your story or tips!

Got pregnant again three months after miscarriage and miscarried again. I did do accupuncture and it did not help.

No success story here. Had a miscarriage in March 2009. As of October 2010, still not pregnant. Tried everything - less exercise, acupuncture, charting, sex every day/every other day, etc. However, in our case my husband

Sorry, posted too soon. In our case, my husband has issues with sperm - motility and morphology are low. Have you checked your husband, by the way?

I did - after 1 twin miscarriage and about 10 chemical pregnancies...used baby aspirin and b vitamins.

OP here ---

to 12: 12 Yes - I asked husband to get checked out. Thankfully, he agreed even though RE says it's too soon to get worried since I've only been trying for 4 months.

to 12:22 Did you take B vitamins in addition to your pre-natal? What kind and how much?

OP, you might check out the expectant moms forum... by definition most of us here haven't had the best luck, yet!

OP here -- 12:41 thanks! I'm so new to this and barely learning all the acronyms! Will do that.

Happened to see this. I did get pregnant again quickly after a miscarriage, but in general I have been lucky getting pregnant, so didn't do anything differently and don't know how helpful my story is.

However, I was charting - had been using natural family planning for 2+ years to prevent prior to my 1st - so I was very familiar with my cycle and knew within a day or so when I ovulated (and could generally predict it a day or so in advance.) Believe I may have also been using OPKs (definitely did for #1.)

OP here
to 13:57 -- I had been lucky in the past but this time, no luck...

One question for you -- if you don't mind sharing, how often did you have sex before you ovulated? With first pregnancy (DS), it was every other day on 10, 12, 14, 16. With second pregnancy (miscarriage) it was every day.

For the last four months, we've been trying a combination of both but I get so nervous we're going to miss the egg that I think it might be too often. Do you have any thoughts on this?
