| All of our bunnies have disappeared. A neighbor told me that they took care of the bunny problem. I assume that means poison. Is that legal? I worry about the impact on the food chain. The poison could kills foxes and hawks. |
| Don’t let your imagination run wild OP. |
| in most areas its better just to shoot them |
| Where do you live? |
| They might have used one of those critter repellents or trapped them. People use mouse poison in my neighborhood but I haven’t heard of anyone doing that for rabbits. |
| Do you have fox too? When fox moved in my neighborhood, all rabbits disappeared |

The neighbor said they took care of the bunny problem. We had foxes; I haven't seen them since the bunnies disappeared. |
Check your local regs, and keep an eye out. It's not just rabbits and foxes and birds of prey (all important links in the eco chain, as you noted), it's domestic animals too. These indiscriminate poisons should be fully outlawed. |
Also, while I personally do not think it is safe to let cats outside alone, many people do. Your neighbor my be killing cats, too! |
| It's literally what a professional company would do if you called them to take care of the problem. |
| Why didn't you ask "how did you handle it" or "what do you mean" instead of waisting our time with guesses? |
| Is your neighbor named Mr. McGregor? |
| You can shoot with a pellet gun or trap them. |
Just so long as we can also shoot those who shoot them. |
