Maverick in 2026; Juniper?

This boys name gets a lot of hate online it seems. Surprisingly it was never my style until I became pregnant this time. I do not know the gender. I, myself, have a heavily stylized spelling variation of a unisex name and when naming my other children, notice that I lean toward recognizable not necessarily popular.

Juniper for a girl is another one that I am pondering that would not have been my style. I’m not loving Juniper though.

Back to Maverick for a boy, how many kids do you know with this name? do you despise it more than any other name? 😆

Baby center has it at #30.

I’m also not looking to be unique like the name I have but something draws me to Maverick. Juniper I am more torn on. I’m not sold that I like Juniper.

Give your kid an elegant name that sounds like a rich person.

My sister was literally named after a doll. She's a civil engineer. It's so cringy that I even tried to rename her when I was a child.

I gave my kids unusual "artist" themed middle names and top 10 conventional first names. That way if my kids want to be edgy and quirky, they could use their middles. So far...they are not using the middles or even short versions of their first names.

Let your kid decide to be a maverick. Don't decide it for them.

I don't care for Juniper. I much prefer Juno or June nn Junie. Or if you like nature names, how about Poppy or Posie?

I really dislike Maverick. How about Malcolm or Henry nn Hank?
