Shaving face for ipl

Got my first ipl machine, and want to use on chin and upper lip, but worry about shaving the area will actually result in more growth. If you use ipl at home on your face, do you pre-shave? And what do use to preshave? Just the regular razor? Did it result in more hair growth initially?

Yes, I pre shave. Shaving does not increase hair growth.

Thanks pp. what do use to preshave? The regular razor? The small razor from Amazon? Or dermaplane razors? Does it make a difference?

Regular disposable razor. It's quite adequate.
