Happy BVR Parents Staying on Close?

I’ve seen a lot of unhappy posts about BVR this spring, but are any parents happy with their experience and staying on the Close?

I’m especially interested in hearing from those with boys going on to STA. Thanks!

Most people who are unhappy find an outlet to complain, so coming to DCUM will usually provide you with more complainers.

OP here - ever consider that I am a prospective parent and that this forum is a place to ask such questions?

Just go to admissions events in the fall - there will be parents there happy to read you the party line.

Very happy with BVR and NCS. No experience with STA, but plenty of happy parents there too.

Very happy with BVR, never planned to stay past that (no reflection on NCS, just have a personal connection to another school we love) and would happily choose to send a son to STA if we had one.

OP- how are these answers helpful for you deciding whether or not to apply your child? Will a few people replying “yes” really change your course of action?

I live how BVR parents always have to throw out being on the “close”. Sooooo self important. Why we ruled out BVR very quickly as well as STA and NCS. Couldn’t stand the parents.
