EV sales finally rise in May after tax credits expired

May finally saw a growth in EV sales after the tax credits expired last fall. Will the Iran war and gas prices (which are expected to rise further this summer) push more US drivers to purchase EVs?

I just purchased my first EV this week and I am really enjoying it. I wanted a hybrid initially, but the Iran war and unpredictability honestly did push me to go fully EV. I commute about 45 miles a day (1-1.5 hrs one way) in DC traffic.

Way cheaper than gas. Partially because I have free charging so I can charge elsewhere for feee but charge often at home anyways.

I was getting gas 3 times a week and after getting an electric car I saved over $4k in a year’s time
