I won’t say the pool because I’m probably already outing myself, but mine was 13 years from signing up for the waitlist to membership offer. My time on the waitlist outlasted my marriage.
(I was unmarried when I joined the waitlist, never added my then-boyfriend to the listing, and months before I got my membership offer I was served divorce papers. So on the bright side I didn’t have to give up the membership?) Can anyone top that? |

Thank you for this!

| PG Pool. Been on for 9 years. |
| Palisades. 11 before we got in. |
Overlee? Our pool used to have a short waitlist of 1 yr not it is a solid 5 yrs wait. |
| 10 years. Little Falls pool. |
It was said in Katie Ledecky’s memoir… imagine if Katie waited a few more years to get in the fun summer swimming, we may have missed a legend … that would be crazy, some pools just a little too upper class, really don’t have to be that way… why not just take more families in… it’s ridiculous for any family to wait for a pool membership for years |
| Pools have a bather load. Once you hit it, members have to wait outside of the pool gates on hot summer days to get into the pool they payed a membership fee to be a part of. That is why membership totals are capped. |
I'm at a pool with a long waitlist. If we added 20-50-100 more families there would be nowhere to sit, park, use the bathroom. There are capacity limits unfortunately. |
| Get your own pool. |
| PG pool in year 9. I think I'm getting close! |
| Daleview - five years or so. Of course, now they have to rebuild the pool and there is a special assessment in a bad local economy so there is zero-to-no waitlist now. All these PG waitlist people should cross-over. Ha! |
| This is bumming me out. I've been on a waitlist for a year and it seems like by the time I get an offer my kids won't care about going anymore! |
I am on the board at a pool with a waitlist, this is exactly it! |
