| The title says it all. |
| Yes if you're willing to take what you can get. |
| It’s possible, sure. It will depend entirely on whether a school has a spot in a given grade (or if your kid and/or your story of why you’re switching is very compelling). Just start reaching out. Expect longer response times, though. Admin take vacation too. |
| Why wouldn't it be possible? |
That is such a totally useless comment. |
| Yes but you’d have to take what spots are available and you will almost certainly be on the hook for tuition at your previous school. |
| It depends why. Schools for students who aren't a good fit for totally mainstream schools are usually happy to accept kids out of cycle. Nora is the one I'm most familiar with, but there are others. |
Sycamore is the same, with rolling admissions for grades 5-11 (they don't take rising seniors). |
| Are you going to pay both tuitions? |
| Athletes do it all the time |
OPs question is generic and vague. Of course there are private schools that accept kids out of cycle. Ask a vague question, get a vague response. Seems reasonable to me. |
| What grade? Are you willing and able to pay both tuitions if you’re not released from a contract? What school or types of schools would you be interested in trying to get into?. As somebody else said, your question is too vague to answer simply. But many things are possible. |
| Happens all the time. |
| You never know till you call. I’ve heard of some very good schools having random openings in the summer. |
+1. If you have enough money, anything is possible. The devil is in the details though. |
