| Dint know any 8th grade parents but I heard that several monetary awards or scholarships are given. On what criteria? Where is this published? |
| I'm only familiar with the Diocesan High School awards that are usually based on HSPT scores. The individual high schools will have them outlined on their admissions pages of the website. |
| Why would a school give scholarships to students who are graduating? I would think that money would be given to current students. |
Where did you hear this? |
| If you make the honor roll, you are given a tuition reimbursement for all years you went to St. Mary’s. But, since they don’t publish the honor roll, you’ll never know. |

We’re at a different parish school, but our PTO gives out two $1000 awards to eighth graders attending diocesan schools, chosen based on essays that they submit for review by a PTO committee.
It’s not a huge scholarship, given the tuition, but I think it’s a nice gesture. |

My kids went to St. Ann and one got the athletic award. The other got drama. The teachers decided, but they didn't offer $$. There was a modest monetary award for students who did a lot of service. It was donated by a member of the parish in memory of her husband.
I love the PTO donation idea for diocesan schools! |
| My DC are older but there were a number of academic and service awards. Most did not have $ but I believe the highest GPA (or equivalent) came with one. That one or another may have been a KOC award. |
| And nit everything needs to be published. The HSs don’t publish everything either. |
| Is this the same St. Mary's that doesn't publish the honor role? |
| I heard the give sportsball NIL deals now. |
| The good news here is that the honor roller seems to be approaching 8th grade now. Only a year or two more of complaints about St. Mary’s before she switches to complaining about Bishop Ireton! |
