College acceptance report

Does MCPS High School release information about students' college acceptances? If so, where can I find this information?

Our HS posted them all in the lobby. I don't know if they sent out an actual list or anything

Wow that’s awful. All the acceptances? You sure it’s not where the kids are going?

Bethesda Today publishes a list each year for several schools.

I believe it was acceptances at first and then updated to where they are going. There were definitely some kids on there twice so I am not 100%.

Naviance gives some idea. Unfortunately not 100% accurate.

Why do you are where other kids go?

I think some people want to see if the school is sending kids to competitive schools as a metric to the merit and reputation of the HS

Yes, but agree the accuracy is not the best. Our son couldn’t easily figure out how to report his acceptances so he just never bothered.

I am not looking for individual student success. Just as job placement proves a college’s effectiveness, college placement proves a high school’s. Tracking where students are accepted gives a real, measurable picture of how well a school supports its students’ futures.

Not how it works.

Moving to a different zone won't change how rich you are, or how smart your kid is.
