Are mild cramps at 19 weeks normal?

Are mild cramps at 19 weeks normal? I don't mean round ligament pains. More like brief menstrual pain.

I had a heartbeat check last week and have less than a week to go to the big 20 week sono at the perinatologist. I had two miscarriages previously and have not been shy about asking for extra sonos and heartbeat checks. My hemotologist said that my risk period for miscarriage lasts until about 20 weeks.

Thanks for your input.

Although it is likely nothing, it's probably worth calling your doctor, who could check your cervix to make sure you're not dialating. Perhaps you could move your 20 week sono up - I had mine at 19 weeks and you can have it anywhere between 18-22 weeks. I'm not trying to worry you, but as someone who has had late miscarriages, I know it is helpful to be reassured.

Hi-I am right where you are and also have been having cramps with no blood. I did call my doctor and was told that if I wasn't bleeding and if they weren't so bad that I felt like I was going into labor (this is number two) that I should not worry. This is a huge growth point and some of our bodies feel the expansion more. In my case, I am all of the sudden really showing. Maybe this is the case with you.

Thanks to both of you. I decided today that it is probably a combination of the sudden growth, constipation (TMI-sorry), and being tired. Will try to rest up and get the necessary fiber.
