Where to find the patch

Anonymous
Does anyone know of a pharmacy, either local or online, that can fill a prescription for the .0375 2x/weekly estrogen patch?

I got a notification from Amazon pharmacy that they're out. And this is after switching to them from my local pharmacy. Every CVS, Walgreens, Safeway, Giant, and independent pharmacy I've called is out. And they don't seem super concerned about it, either. Meanwhile I am so pissed off I can hardly see straight. Would love to know where I can find it if you don't mind sharing!

I have been getting it at Costco for the last couple of months after my CVS couldn't seem to get my patch in.

That said, last time I got it at Costco, they gave me one package made by one manufacturer and two made by another. The two packages have a patch that is slightly different, and the adhesive isn't great. I've never had patches come off or be affected by shower water, but these are. I think there may be some slap-dash manufacturing being done in an attempt to cover the shortages.

I could have written this comment. Exact same here. Getting patches from Costco no problem but have definitely noticed manufacturing inconsistency with the actual patches.

I was able to get it from Cigna Express Scripts.

I had to switch to Cost Plus for it. Kind of a pain, and they don't take my insurance.

Same. I think there is a shortage and the new ones are like giant wafers, have a terrible odor and don’t stay on. Just felt for mine and it’s gone. shake my head

My new generics don’t work half as well as what I’m used to. I’m back to night sweats and daytime hot flashes. It’s ridiculous.

I meant to add that this was after failing at CVS and Amazon to get my normal patches. I kept popping into CVS and they finally had random generics. I don’t think they work.

Yeah, I can't find my preferred brand either (Sandoz). It's ridiculous. And yet the FDA says there is no shortage. Doesn't make sense to me. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/womens-health/fda-estrogen-patch-shortage-hormone-therapy-alternatives-rcna344233

PP - and I absolutely have felt different results on different brands, unfortunately.

I always get generic and it has always worked.

My most recent batch was a bit weird size wise and the adhesive is not great, but it is working.

Well, according to multiple pharmacies I have tried, there is, lol.

Saw my gyno today, and she mentioned the shortage. She prescribed an insertable ring for me. I guess we'll see.

You got luckier than me! The ones I got this time were 'Dotti' -- never had this brand before.
