| Is there such a thing? The cakes don't have to be super healthy, but I'm looking for recipes that use, e.g., applesauce instead of butter, wholemeal flour, lots of oats, maybe prunes, agave syrup perhaps, maybe canola oil too. Just trying to get away from white flour, white sugar and butter recipes. |

Can't recommend any because those cakes and cookies just don't taste as good. Sorry.
I would recommend treating yourself to real and decadent cake and cookies only once in a while. The occasional treat in moderate amounts will not hurt you. A "healthy" cake/cookie all the time, on the other hand, will. |
| The baked goods in Jessica Seinfeld's cookbooks seem to be good (well, I've only done the ones in her first book and just bought the second one). The banana bread uses pureed cauliflower, for example, and wheat flour. You may find what you're looking for there. |

King Arthur Whole Grain Flour cookbook is good for baking with whole grains, though doesn't focus on healthy fats or sweeteners.
I remember the Jane Brody Good Food Book (I think that was the title) did, but DH (bad DH) gave my copy away. |
