Are my neighbors decorating for Memorial Day or Fourth of July?

For the past three weeks, they have had these out on their home: 
I don’t know anyone who celebrated Memorial Day with decorations so I have to ask if that’s a thing? |

We always put flags out for Memorial Day and so do a lot of our neighbors. It’s a patriotic holiday to remember those who died in service to our country.

| Memorial Day used to be called Decoration Day. That was about decorating military graves, but those decorations still feel in the spirit of that. |
