Do they have any idea that they will go down in history as evil players in the fall of our democracy? And the fall of USA in the eyes of the world? It’s been a great 250 years but it’s over. And there are evil
players to blame.

I honestly think they don’t care as long as they have the power now. What history thinks of them is not a consideration in the face of the power now. They’d rather be powerful while alive rather than seen as a hero in death.

For a Republican, they have the Supreme Court, the Presidency, the House, the Senate, and much of the mainstream media. And yet they are not pursuing any kind of conservative policies. They don't really do anything at all with all this power. But they get very excited when people are upset with their war with Iran or inflation or high gas prices or people losing health insurance. Pissing people off is the driving force of Republicans today. An older man in an exurb with a goatee going into deep debt for his pick-up truck is the core of the Republican Party. The road rage people. Angry all the time. Has no interest in actual policy. But he wants you to know he is angry. About whatever.

they are actually...they are consolidating the power, the money and the instruments of a healthy democracy - media, education, science - so they can control thought and actions. It is really quite ironic and shows that the last 40 years have been nothing but projection.

This president has his son-in-law negotiating peace, and failing, for a war that "never should have happened". Remember that phrase? It's what Trump said about Russia attacking Ukraine. And said he'd end that war in week after his inauguration. Hah. And that son-in-law meanwhile took $2 billion from Saudi Arabia. Hunter Biden much?

The GOP of my parents is not today's GOP.
My parents were conservative people who went to church and were compassionate, kind people who didn't like the "welfare state" and were concerned that government was too big.
But my parents and their friends were not evil. They would not support the evil things that the GOP is doing today.
My parents would probably become Independents or even conservative Democrats today.
This GOP is horrifying. Entirely atavistic and immoral.

We should all understand by now that we are no longer in a left vs right political climate. It's you, me and every other normal American citizen vs the filthy rotten gazillionaires who have taken control of our political system. Wake up folks! They aren't relinquishing control anytime soon.
