Yellow teeth from retainer?

My 13 year old got her braces off about 9 months ago and wears a traditional clear retainer on the top and bottom. Her teeth have gotten very yellow over the past few months and I am wondering if it could be a result of the retainer.
She does NOT drink anything other than water (not good parenting, she just hates juice, carbonated drinks and milk). She brushes twice per day and brushes her retainer and we also have Zina dental pod thing she uses weekly too. Our orthodontist says it’s not from the retainer but I can’t think of what else could be causing the yellowness so quickly. Has anyone else experienced this? |

| I have a retainer, a clear one. This hasn't happened to me. I would think it would be something else, assuming she is cleaning the retainer every day. |

| If she is putting the retainer on after rinsing with turmeric, probably. But if she brushes well it wouldn’t be from that. |

| Antibiotics? Too much fluoride? You could also ask her PCP; perhaps they'd have ideas. |
