Does anyone know how Lenny is doing? And if the girl faced any consequences?

A lawsuit against school it happened during school day on school grounds?

The mom posted a letter saying her lawyers were declining to represent her case as MCPS's insurance firm determined they did not have liability. So sadly, I think MCPS is getting away with its negligence.

Show me the negligence. Paramedics were called. They fired the PE teacher. What more do you want?

OMG, that's horrific. I would go after this girl's family.

His mom has been trying to get the principal fired, blasted the school on social media, and yet desperately tried really hard to get her kid back into the same school at the same time.

She may not have transportation to take him and other kids to another school as its on you to transport. They should be held accountable.

The point is, she can't think the school is that unsafe if she's willing to send her son right back in.

So the boy has recovered fully?

Low income family perhaps? Her options may be limited by poverty.

The burden of change should NOT be placed on the victim. Too often, it is. This is a serious enough case that we need to pay attention to the victim's psychological healing. If he wants to come back to the same school, see his friends and classmates, see his teachers, he SHOULD! The perpetrator needs to leave, and the perp's family needs to get legal consequences.

Absolutely - to all of this

That’s so unfortunate. I wish him a complete recovery. All the victim-blaming needs to stop. It’s his school, why shouldn’t he get to return? If mom is going after the principal, there’s likely a reason.

This is horrific. This woman needs better representation.

No one's placing the blame on the victim. The mom isn't the victim. She is simultaneously suing the school she thinks is so unsafe while fighting to get her son back in. If you can't see the irony in that...The girl hasn't been back since the incident nor will she be. He isn't innocent based on witness testimonies and he was a bully in his own right. Is he still a victim? Yes. No one's denying that. But also-what if the other kids at school don't feel safe around him? There are so many things that you don't know.
