| Our lovely neighbors gave us some wonderful biryani on Friday night. We were busy all weekend and didn't get a chance to eat it. Would you eat it tonight or did we wait too long? |
| Straight into the compost bin. |
| I’d eat it, provided it was sealed and stored in the fridge. |
| I would eat it today but that's the latest. But also...do you think she made the biryani on Friday or perhaps earlier? |
She definitely made it on Friday. I tasted it on Friday and it's so good. I would hate to throw it away, but I don't want to get sick either. |
It's been in the fridge the whole time. |
| I would eat it. |

As long as it was refrigerated within about an hour of cooking/cooling, it should be fine.
If it sat out for a while at any point, I'd toss at this point. My DC eats rice with almost every meal (favorite food) and I don't want to cook and toss rice every single day so I'm just religious about storing any excess rice in the fridge as soon as it's cooled. |
| I wouldn’t give it a sr I d thought unless it smelled bad. |
A second thought. |
| OK thanks all. Looks like it's fine to eat so I'm going to go for it. |
| I eat week-old rice all the time. |
| I would put it on a baking sheet in the oven to reheat thoroughly. It’s fine. |
| Eat it. The spices help extend the best by date |
| I would eat it. But probably not beyond today. |
