Endurance sports on weightloss meds

Just curious for those on these drugs can you still engage in endurance sports like long distance running? I could lose a few pounds but I run a lot and I worry I would not be able to maintain my pace/distance.

If you only need to lose a few pounds, don't take weight loss drugs.

I'm on a lose dose (1/4 what the normal dose is) and it has zero impact on my energy levels. I have a sport I do and it has no impact on that.

When I was on the normal dose, I did not have enough energy to run. I was really tired by 9pm or so.

I'm on a low dose and the fatigue and aches are pretty unreal.

I've been on the starter dose of Zepbound (2.5mg) for almost a year without side effects. I don't do any endurance sports, but I do some form of cardio and/or lift heavy weights daily without problem. I have not experienced any fatigue.

I'm on a normal dose of WeGovy and the first two days after the shot, I struggle to do anything physical... some of it is endurance, but also I just feel so sick.

My doctor is working to switch me to zepbound, which the insurance is resisting, but she believes it will have a lot less side effects. Also, as my body adjusts to a dose, the fatigue and sick feelings go away, but the first few months on a new dose can be tough.

I'm a cyclist and the flip side is that even though I sometimes get out for a ride and feel like I'm struggling, I'm also peddling 30+ pounds less up that hill, and it is actually easier to do.

I've been on glp-1 for a year and ran 2 half marathons. It's not line you wake up one day 20 lbs lighter. It's a gradual process you body adjusts to.

I had no energy on semaglutide but I am fine on tirzepatide. In fact, I've started running more seriously since being on it.

I am a much better endurance runner since I dropped almost thirty pounds on semaglutide. I take a low dose. In the beginning, it did zap my energy, but the compound is better now and I'm just on a maintenance dose. I have to make myself get protein and do strength training to keep running, but some of that is just age.
