Semifinal notes:
--SSSAS vs. PVI (SSSAS -8): PVI rebounded from a tough WCAC final to beat Collegiate pretty soundly. They will be overmatched versus the Saints, however. SSSAS is coming off a massive win in the ISL Final, a game they dominated over a very talented Stone Ridge team. --STAB vs Potomac (STAB -2): These teams played a very close game in midseason ending in a 1 goal win for STAB. Of late, Potomac has played more competitive games. Does that suggest they will be sharper? Or is STAB better rested? |

10-5 SSSAS wins. A lot of talented players on both sides, SSSAS just much better team overall that played well together. SSSAS went out to 5-0 lead, it was 6-1 at half, 7-3 well into 4th Q, and was never close. A shot clock wouldn’t have made a difference. Congrats to two talented teams on impressive years, with STAB getting a signature win over an excellent Good Counsel team and SSSAS winning two banners. A bunch of great players showing lax talent abundant in the region. |
