I've struggled with acne my whole life but for most of adulthood it would be limited to 1-2 zits with my period. Now my chin is almost as bad as it was when I was a teenager. I still get a regular period and now I get acne constantly, especially on my chin I'm 49 and really hope this shit ends soon - anyone else?
Spironolactone. It's hormonal.

My acne was way worse at 51 than as a teenager. Started spironolactone. Hoping to see results soon. |
Omg. I got the worst acne in perimenopause. Huge, massive zits. Tretinoin turned things around for me. Spironalactone wasn't tolerable (made my breasts massive and achey), so tretinoin, acne patches, and topical clindamycin to quickly heal anything that erupted. Peace Out patches are the best IMO.

Tretinoin and azeaclic acid worked for me
My friend who had terrible issues with adult acne swears that drinking spearmint tea daily made a huge difference for her. Maybe it's tik-tok mumbo jumbo, but it seems to have worked for her.
