We will be doing a girl scout camping trip with multi level troops at one of their GS campsite. Activities will be all organized by the council, and we just have to follow the packing list to pack and cook a few meals for ourselves. It seems like no girls have ever done camping before in our Daisies troop & the other junior troop that we decide to work out together. All attending moms & both troop leaders are in a WhatsApp group, and no one has said much. I do not know what is going on if someone going to think of something to cook ot to buy, mudt to bring items, how to group 2 troops together etc for activities etc. I have confidence in taking care of myself & my Daisy girl at this camping trip, and I will drag a ton of unnecessary things better be safe than sorry for a great experience. I do not know 70 percent of people in the whatsapp group that I am in.
May I ask normally what girl scout leaders or campout leaders should do to prepare everyone on their first camping trip or parents is expected to take care of themselves & their daughters knowing what to pack, do etc bevause packing list is uploaded. I wonder how about woodfire, water, meals, etcc...with so much questions in my mind. The camping trip will happen in less than a week. Omg..... |

I suggest one person as head food coordinator and appointing one or two specific people in charge of each meal.
I think water and wood are provided but you can check the website of the campsite or call and ask. Best thing to bring is extra warm clothes. The kids will have fun just playing, they don't need an activity every hour of the day. |

When our troop camped with daisies we got a large cabin so everyone could be inside in the same space and each kid had their mom there. Not take kids without parents.
Meals were kept really simple. I think we had PB&J, fruit, muffins and cereal. The only thing we cooked were s'mores. |
| You can have everyone bring a packed lunch/dinner for their first meal. Or you can place a pickup order at a grocery store on the way and have one parent be assigned to get it. Harris Teeter has good sandwich platters, that plus baby carrots and s'mores equals dinner. |
