I ripped my pants at work...

and one arse cheek is completely exposed. It happened as I was sitting down, alone in my office. Thankfully! But now I need to figure out how to get from office to car without any coworker, janitor, etc. seeing things they never would wish to see Office is mostly cleared out by now, BUT STILL!

No, I don't have a coat or sweater to tie around my waist.

Help!

Do you have an office friend you can call who might be able to hunt down a sweater or jacket of some sort?

If not, can you take your pants off in your office and tape them from the inside? Even scotch tape could get you to your car.

This or stapler. I keep safety pins in my office for clothing mishaps (although, I keep a full suit in my office too).

If all else fails, get a trash bag from the office kitchen and use it as a skirt to get into a cab.

This is a great idea.

Also you could turn your pants around. It will be easier to hold the gap closed with your hands in the front of your body vs. behind you.

You're probably home by now but I would have stuck a sheaf of white printer paper into the area and secured it with something.

Someone should have lent you their coat or sweater. This is why it's important to have work friends.

Yup. I assume you can't just cover it with the bottom of your blouse and that you have your own car, since you haven't mentioned either. You can't walk out with your bag on your bum?

Use your emergency needle and thread to effect a quick repair.

I’m so sorry, OP. This happened to me too, but luckily I had a sweater to tie around my waist. What did you end up doing?
