| On parentvue? |
| Don't they sent the scores home with the final report card? They used to. |
| There's another thread about how a parent saw their kid's SOL score. Tons have asked how/where they saw the score, but those responding are purposefully ignoring that question. So, perhaps it's an FCPS-staff/parent who is able to see the score. Who knows! But they're definitely not posted in SIS. |
|
In the past, it’s usually a week after they’ve taken it. |
| They will be released weekly (Monday) to ParentVUE/SIS for tests taken by Thursday each week. Science scores have not been released by the state yet. |
| We didn't get ours until the week after school got out last year. Not holding my breath this year. |
|
Two different new things are going on that are making this confusing...
1 - yes, fcps is putting scores into SIS throughout the testing window, sooner and more often than in the past 2 - if the student took a new test form, which could happen in almost any of the subjects, there will be a score delay from VDOE. If they took a test form that's already been in use, the score comes back to the school in the usual time frame. Earth Science and Chemistry are all new this year. Reading and Math have a mix of new test forms and existing ones |
| I thought the school gets scores immediately |
They do, so they can badger parents about re takes for the kids who scored high 300s |
| Its not immediate, but usually same day. But there are score delays from vdoe for new test versions, which could be delayed for days |
Is this only Secondary? My kids who scored took their reading SOL last week and no scores are posted. |
Probably. As a teacher I saw all my kids’ scores the next day. If they need a retake we have contacted the families. My own kids apparently took the new format geometry SOL last week because it’s still not back. |
| My ES kid had reading SOL on Wednesday. Teacher announced yesterday she had the scores and nobody failed. Kid said the teacher said she will email parents the scores today, but I have a hard time believing that. Last year they were in parentvue within a week. |
| For us, they take some time going into parentvue. My child’s english teacher pulled students from the class yesterday to tell everyone their scores. We have been informed that at the end of each week that you take the SOL, you will know your score. (8th grade) |
| We have waited until July before. |
