| My son did DCSC tryouts this week for the first time (he's been playing soccer for years, but hasn't done travel). First question, when will we hear back? Or will we hear back? Second question, what do the different colors mean? I understand they are different levels, but which are the highest? Sorry if I'm clueless -- just new to this! |
|
The colors are easy:
1) MLS Next/academy 2) Blue 3) Red 4) White 5) Gold 6) Silver Not sure if they'll get to that many levels at any age groups, especially since they now also split between east and west for younger kids, but that's how their ranking works. Timing could vary, it sounds like they're saying may be a week or two. |
Which age group? |
| I have heard that ECNL and Blue team offers are out. How long do those families have to respond? Has the club sent out offers for the lower teams yet or do they wait to do so after the rosters are set for the higher teams? |
there are no ECNL teams next year. |
| Apologies, I meant Academy and Blue offers are out. |
Some age groups are at the red level, which means—to me—that the rosters for the higher up teams are largely set. |
| Which age groups have had red offers go out? |
| My son got a U16 Red offer the day after tryouts. But families in other age groups say they haven't heard anything. |
| My daughter got a blue offer a day after the last tryout. |
| Any updates about teams below red for boys? |
| U14 boys offers are out at all levels. |
| Oh no! I have a U14 boy and we haven't heard anything! |
| Does anyone know how/why DCSC played with less than 11 girls this weekend in their RL matches? Are girls leaving the ship with Aspire coming onboard or are there specific problems at the 2013 AG? |
| It looks like U12 and U13 girls offers all went out last week. |
