Hi Ladies-
This is kind of a jumbled question, but basically, I started taking progesterone suppositories at 6dpo...is this too late to start? I'm concerened that if implantation is supposed to take place from 7-10 dpo, is it too late? I know I ovulated 6 days ago, thanks to a CBE digital OPK...my temps however have not been super high since O...either right at coverline or slightly above. I had stopped taking progesterone a couple cycles ago due to the side effects, but am thinking maybe I need it to keep elevated progesterone levels...I don't know...but I'm feaking out that I've waited to long and blown our chances this month... Any insight?? |
| I can't speak to this personally but I know plenty of women who got pregnant and then had their progesterone tested to find they had low progesterone. Then their dr's put them on progesterone to prevent miscarriage. The point being that they started progesterone even later and it was beneficial. So I would think that you taking it 6 dpo versus 3 dpo wouldn't make all that much difference. I am on prometrium now so I understand what you mean about the side effects. I am nauseous, dizzy, tired and grumpy. Oh well, only 4 more days till beta. Good luck. |

OP here...thanks for your input...it does make me feel better. You're right, logically, if some Dr.'s start you after pregnancy, taking it at 6 dpo on has to be beneficial in some way.
But dang the side effects do suck...Just have to get through this week... Good luck to you too! |
