| Does anyone have direct experience with the Two Birds West End location? I find it odd they have next to no reviews having been open for a few years now. |
| Who is going to leave a review for a bunch of child abuse enablers, oh I mean “industry disrupters?” They should be out of business. |
| A friend had a poor experience here. They sre backed with private equity. Approach with caution. |

i have never visited any Two Birds, however, as a former director of an early childhood program, I found that SO MANY teachers and assistant teachers want to leave there within a few months of hire. Even those who were at their other jobs for years. And when asked about it, they would all say that it was really disorganized, they didn't know what was expected of them, etc. My assistant director and i started making a joke that, of course it's another Two Birds candidate looking for a job!
This was 2 years ago, so I don't know how up-to-date that is. |

We have friends with kids at that location and they love it and when we talk about things at Two Birds, the sentiment feels the same.
We are just coming to the end of our time at Two Birds in Tenleytown and I can honestly say I'm always shocked when I hear the negativity around it. It definitely did not have that sort of thing going around when we started and I really only saw it once all the horrible stuff came out about the Alexandria location. When the abuse came out in Alexandria, my friend who had her kid at West End and I were messaging constantly about how shocked we were it could even happen and all the negativity that seemed to surround that center. One of the things that I absolutely loved the most about Two Birds was that they have co-working space in the center. So there are parents constantly around. I breastfed for the full first year and it wasn't a big deal at all to go down and get my baby to breastfeed and then give him back. I could see what was going on in the classrooms and was impressed with what I saw. My child has truly thrived under their care! He is ahead in most things, including knowing most of his letters and counting to 30 by age 3 and really intentional development of his fine motor skills. His teachers consistently update us on where he is progress and how they are approaching the next step in development. Talking to the art teachers has been really interesting because they truly do guide the children through art exploration on a deeper level. I'm sure some of his progress is nature, but I also see the teachers intentionally bringing in things to get him to the next level even if it wasn't part of his age group's original curriculum. I haven't seen much turnover at the Tenleytown location. 2 out of his 3 original teachers are still there with one having been there since day one of the center. I don't think he has ever had a teacher leave from his class although I have seen a few leave over the years. Nothing crazy though. All in all, it has been a wonderful nurturing environment that made it easy to be involved as a working parent. It was very bitter sweet to find out that our child got into the school we hope he will be in until college, on one hand we are very excited for the next chapter and on the other we are sad our time at Two Birds is coming to a close. |
| I had a great experience at Two Birds over the course of 3 years / two kids. I would ask them for parent references as we know plenty who are happy there. |
Thanks cgpt! |
🤣 I wrote that while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I'm sure I made mistakes chatgpt would never, but as a math girly, I definitely take that as a compliment! |
| We had a mediocre experience in the West End location, the first year was really disruptive with tons of staff turnover in our room and very minimal communication from the school, just lots of disorganization, and unhappy parents (tons of turnover with families too), but then things started to get better and we loved one of the teachers, but it was still disorganized. We left before the scandal, but after they switched out teachers/ rooms yet again, and are much happier with new place. |
7 long paragraphs during a Middle of the night bathroom trip??? I barely open my eyes |
