Private K contracts

What date do families become on the hook for the full year of tuition, beyond the initial deposit?

I’m trying to understand when any waitlist movement may occur.

Ours was April 15, so if you haven’t heard already…

I’ve heard that these dates can range from early April through the end of May, but haven’t seen specifics by school. Does anyone have a contract with a late April or May date?

Tbh I don’t think it’s happening… because now the welcoming committee parents are starting to organize play dates etc. At this point, you would be waiting for the families who are leaving nyc. That does happen sometimes over the summer

What school(s) are you waiting on? Those of us with kids in the schools could at least tell you contract dates (and anecdotally if we’ve ever seen movement before kindergarten starts).

At least for older kids at Brearley, the full tuition payment is due May 1. Not sure what it is for new students.

Some lady on Facebook said 2 spots at private K at her kids’ school opened up with the tuition deadline - let’s see if she reveals the school

At least for older kids at Brearley, the full tuition payment is due May 1. Not sure what it is for new students.

We are a new incoming K family. We decided to break our payments up, and have already started paying our tuition. I’m unsure when the families paying in one lump sum will need to pay by, but I feel like it’s May 1st.

We have our K micro site already, and it has the family information list of all incoming Kindergartener’s, and we got all the names and photos of the incoming class.

Not sure if this means everyone is paid in full or set up with monthly payments or only paid deposits.

My sister decided on public after getting a great option after the deposit was paid.
