Name a good, safe protein source for smoothies

I want to avoid soy, because I don't think this is good in large quantities for little kids or women. What else is out there, and relatively healthy? I've seen whey, egg white, hemp in the store.

How about low or nonfat yogurt?

I've heard you can put tofu in smoothies. Never tried it.

greek yogurt. It's thick, though, so you'll need something to thin it out.

Yogurt and almond paste. My husband brought home a large jar of almond paste from Costco. It has milder flavor than peanut butter and lots of protein.

We put almonds in whole. We grind them first, then add them smoothie during blending. They add great flavor!

I think any nuts will give you protein and great taste.

Whey is an all around great protein.

Another vote for Tofu.

FWIW it's the processed soy you need to avoid (soy milks, protein powders, faux meats, etc). Tofu and tempeh are not processed and perfectly safe for daily consumption.
