According to Google:
Studies indicate March has higher conception rates for adolescents, often linked to increased social activity and free time during school breaks, leading to higher risks U.S. teen conception rates show a unique, notable peak in March. While overall US pregnancies (including adults) often peak in late November/December, studies indicate a higher relative percentage of adolescent conceptions occur in March, likely linked to social behavior, such as spring break, rather than purely seasonal biological trends This shocked me. I would have guessed Summer. June-July in particular. My second guess would have been September when the kids are seeing each other again after Summer break. Couples rekindling. |

You forgot to mention that one important contributor to the falling US birth rate is that teen pregnancies are much lower than they used to be.
|
The month surprised me more than the rates dropping to be honest. Are that many more teenagers supervised in the Summer months than they are on Spring Break? |
Depends if you are counting freshman and sophomores in college, many of whom are teenagers. |
| In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love |
Naw. He just want to bust a nut. |
|
I would've expected April/May due to the prom.
Maybe some proms are in March. |
What is love but a lust of the blood and a permission of the will? |
| It’s one small study from Canada. Maybe they’re just happy about spring. |
| Time to put all the youngsters on contraceptives |
Early spring and a young man's fancy.... |
| I too would have thought the May-June months not March. The only way this makes sense is lots of college freshmen are getting pregnant over spring break. |
| That’s disgusting. Teens are not physically or emotionally ready to conceive. Just another reason to encourage your teens to focus on their education and dreams instead of “coupling up”. |
Maybe would could ban March and put an end to this behavior. |
