Just prior to noon today, a reporter on WTOP was reporting on the change of the name of a donut to “Philly Cream” and how dumb the name was and the images it conjures. He then went on to say, why don’t they rename one “Buffalo Cream” and “what would that mean, that a chicken came inside the donut?”
Weird to hear on WTOP |
No way. |

I think I heard a part of it this morning.
For context they were talking about this: https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/dunkin-benches-boston-offers-philly-kreme-donuts-during-nba-playoffs/4388023/ Where since the Philadelphia 76ers are playing the Boston Celtics, apparently Dunkin Donuts in the Philadelphia area are renaming their Boston Kreme donuts to Philly Kreme for the time being. I kind of heard what they said afterwards but didn't really catch it or pay attention. But if it's along what OP described, I think the newscasters were just joking around about the changes, kind of like the reactions the posters have about it. |
Oh I just reread what OP posted and realized that the later comment meant. I'm fairly certain I didn't hear that last part and yeah, that's pretty messed up if it was over the air. |
I don’t get it. |
It’s slang for ejaculation. |
| Since you’re so offended by the comment report it to the FCC. |
Yeah, pretty vulgar. Not something I want to hear on the radio. |

Wtop has horrible reporting - inaccurate, not the whole story, and dont get me started on their stupid statistics ("Coming up next, why exercise is good for you").
Their broadcasters have grating voices too and their inclinations are annoying. Even their traffic and weather is subpar. |
