soft black flats for a recital

Has anyone bought a pair of Mary Janes or other simple black shoes for an instrument recital that they really like?
DD is sensitive and needs something soft, and since she'll wear it like 2 times at most this year I don't want to spend a lot.

I bought these in navy and caramel. One pair fit perfectly, the other was slightly too big. That said, they are super soft and the pair that I kept is very comfortable.

For years, I bought matte black Mary Janes for DD for her recitals. I think the last ones I bought were Hush Puppies and Akk, bought on Amazon. Shoes are the one category that we need to return rather often: I buy several pairs at once, and then return the ones that don't fit. Since our household orders a lot from Amazon that we keep, we haven't had any trouble with shoe returns.

Now she's 15 and I bought her Clarks low heel pumps on Amazon.

Same. Mine is picky too and she likes these well enough to wear for recitals.
