Recommendation for Dermatologist - Dark Scars from Mosquito Bites

Anonymous
Last year while my daughter was outside at school for orientation, she was bitten at least 15 times by some type of mosquito. The bites were very itchy and she now has very dark scars on her legs - it almost looks like she has some type of skin disease. Thankfully, she is not self conscious about it at all and luckily, she attends an all girls school, so she doesn’t really have to deal with boys and their opinions but I worry that down the road, she could be teased about it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good dermatologist? For now, I’ve made sure she is consistently applying sunscreen but other than that am at a loss as to what she could do to lighten or remove the spots.

I recall one of the reviewers for this Mederma product has positive before-and-after pictures of mosquito bites on her legs:

I hope this helps!

What on earth does this have to do with it?

Wow! Different poster, but that looks impressive! Agree the review that has pics with bug bite marks is helpful. I was going to suggest something for skin fading with hydroquinone or something, but that looks really helpful.
