Catering from Wegmans?

Anonymous
We have a group of 8, including grandparents, who will be staying at a VRBO for my son's college graduation in a few weeks. I think we are inclined to just do dinner at home to celebrate. I was looking at local Italian restaurants to purchase catering from, but then ordered a cake from WEgmans and realized they have a ton of catering options, including Italian.

I would love feedback on how good their catering trays are. This is NOT a picky/foodie bunch, so just wondering if this is easy and plenty good enough!

I’m interested in this too! I was looking to get a cake for a birthday party I’m hosting but I will probably end up getting all the food from there. I’m looking at their subs and wings. Also not a picky bunch.

I buy their catering for work all the time. It’s great! We get salads, sandwiches, sides and always dessert.

I really like their catering! I do it with some regularity, as do our neighbors.

The only thing I haven't loved is their beef tenderloin.

I am not a fan and think it is expensive for what it is. I ordered the roast beef at Christmas and it was very dried out.

I’ve only tried the cakes and sandwich platters but both are must buys. The sandwiches come on really delicious sesame covered rolls.

Same. The sandwich platters are ALWAYS a huge hit and everyone knows the cakes are amazing.

Another +1 on their catering. It's great. We've used for holidays, kiddo birthday parties, and more and have always been happy.

I've done a lot of their heavy hors d'oeuvres catering (sushi platters, shrimp cocktail, cheese/charcuterie plates, sandwiches, fruit/veggie trays) for work events and everyone loves it.

I’ve gotten their meatballs and tenderloin before. Both were a hit. Followed the instructions to a tee.

Have ordered many other items too. Whole Foods has good catering too (though I can’t speak to potential Italian options)!

Their snacks and desserts and all that are good. You may me disappointed with the entrees for a celebratory dinner even with a non foodie group. I feel like something like Maggiano’s would be a better bet.

I’ve used Wegmans catering a lot. The cheese manicotti tray is REALLY good. The chocolate cake is great, too. The only thing I’ve gotten through catering there that I would not get again is the pulled pork barbecue.
