At middle age, I am a sadsack

Anonymous
I like staying at home, watching movies and doing my gardening and puzzles. I have low thresholds for other people except my immediate family and a few close friends. I savor days without plans. I go to bed early. I have become a dullard.

Seems like the perfect life, actually.

You're living the dream. Enjoy it.

Nothing is wrong with what you wrote! What kind of puzzles do you like doing?

I feel like I'm getting to this point too, OP. I have a great group of friends, including many going back to high school and even earlier. But lately I just don't have the urge for socializing. The past year has been epically terrible for several reasons, so maybe I'll come out of it. Or not!

We all have.

What kind of puzzles do you like? Can I suggest fill-ins? 😊

You're not a sad sack; you're an introvert.

Enjoy, soon you might have health problems and you’ll get out of the house more.

You turned out just like your parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. I suppose you could pretend to be a grasshopper instead of being a human. Hop to it! You will continue to exist until you cease to exist and whatever happens in-between probably does not matter.

Me too....I often wonder if it is also has to do with this timeline....we are seeing how evil some people can be. It's nice to be at home.

What's wrong with you? Wtf are you talking about?

You'd be a sad sack if you gave in to imagined pressure to forego the things/people that make you happy and content and did what you thought others would be impressed by.

What are you envisioning you should be doing? Hosting or attending elegant dinner parties every weekend? Going to the opera and theater?

I've done that. Now I Netflix and chill. I'm 46. Maybe in 10 years I'll do something else. I'd like to learn how to drive a horse buggy.
