Winlevi not covered by insurance?!

Anonymous
Does anyone have insurance that covers Winlevi? We've been getting it every month for my daughter, but it's $250 for a month's supply. I can't believe our health insurance (Cigna) doesn't cover this, but they do cover Spironolactone, which I use. Makes no sense.

In my experience your doc can request approval, requires doc request with a “ reason” which can be found I am sure. For me I tend to have low blood pressure so didn’t want to take spiro.

Insurance makes no sense. Mine changed its formulary mid last year and 2 of my normal prescriptions are now uncovered -- eye drops for dry eye and a skin ointment for chronic dermatitis -- even with doctor doing all the extra legwork.

Have you tried GoodRx for a coupon?

BCBS covered it. My daughter found spiralactane better
