I go to a nice hair salon for color every 6 weeks. I’m now so grey that I really should go every 4 weeks but it is so pricey.
I’m thinking of joining the Madison Reed program, and extending my time between salon visits to 8 weeks and going to Madison Reed at the 4 week mark to touch up my roots. My questions are, if you do this or have done this, did Madison Reed do a good job of color matching? And do you find any issues with your overall color by virtue of doing the roots at Madison Reed? |
| I like Madison Reed. I go every 6 weeks to do my roots. No issues. |

I also really liked Madison Reid, but I’m such a sloppy hair color-er that I was staining my bathroom. That’s the only reason why I quit. I have considered doing the color bar there and leaving with wet hair as an option.
That being said most brunettes fade around the same color. When I walked in my current hair salon, they said you must use Madison Reid lol. I said how can you tell and they said because all the women have the same color hair. |
| I think they are fine. It took a few visits to get the right color match. I've seen a different person each time and you don't know who you're going to get. for 4 week touchups they are fine. |
That makes no sense. I go to Madison Reed and there are many different shades. I’ve also never seen anyone with the same exact color. What an add comment from your hair salon |

I just color my hair at home using a color, re-touching kit.
It doesn’t require me to color anything more than my gray roots so the process is pretty simple w/no mess. |
Cheaper too. |
