APS - Why So Long for Grades to Come Out?

The quarter ended Friday 4/10. Monday was no school so teachers had a grade prep day. So why does it take until 4/20 for MS & HS grades to be released, and until 4/28 for ES grades to be released? While not the point, I would think ES would be easier to get out than MS and HS.

Look on parentvue. You can see their grades whenever you want.

ES and MS. No 3rd quarter report cards yet, as noted in the OP. The day 3rd quarter closed the grade book on parentvue switched to 4th quarter, before some teachers had finished grading end of quarter tests and posting them on the 3rd quarter grade book in parentvue.

Just fyi, for OP and anyone following along at home, APS is very big on GradEs aRE D U E ASAP on the teacher workday… The rest of that time period until they actually come out is all admin review/APS stuff, whatever that may be.

At ES level, no they are not in parentvue. I dunno I'm looking during the quarter and my kids keep track of it so they know their grades.

It just truly does not matter in ES. If your kid is struggling, your ES teacher will reach out and not wait until the report card.

It just truly does not matter in ES. If your kid is struggling, your ES teacher will reach out and not wait until the report card.

+1. Doesn’t matter at all. And truthfully- I wish I’d known that it doesn’t matter in MS either for the most part- EXCEPT for the classes on the HS transcript. Yes it’s nice to well in English and science- but kids need to do well in the math and language classes since those stay with them.

But you can switch it back to 3rd quarter (or 1st or 2nd) in the drop down menu on the right, at least on a laptop.

Secondary grades are out and elementary school will take another 11 days. That's insane. How much review of elementary grades is needed???
