| Wondering how Navy is. I heard there is a brand new admin. Any thoughts from current families who go there? Thanks. |

| After a few years of drama, it's quiet. All good with the new admin team. Kiss & ride issues resolved, too. Focused on elementary education (and fun), the way it should be. |
This all involve the old admin. |
At any school, Admin makes up a vary small part of the overall culture. |
But admin can very much ruin an entire school.....it trickles down |
| Once the negative teachers under the old principal left, the tide turned. We now have some decent teachers. |
| No more redonkulous kiss and ride! |
But it has the ability to make or break a school. The current admin walked into a dumpster fire and miraculously somehow turned it around. Kiss and ride is great. Why? Because admin is out there every single morning making sure of it. And they’re doing it with a smile and a wave- like they actually want to be there. |
What has changed? |
| Ok we’ve established the kiss n ride is good. What about the actual teaching? |
I have had two kids go through recently. When I think about all of the teachers they have had, there are only two (one for each kid) that I would say have been a bit disappointing. They weren’t mean; just kind of underwhelming. Both are still at the school. There was also one other teacher who one of my kids loved, but I think it was because the teacher didn’t make them do that much and let them run kind of wild. That teacher is no longer at the school. Other than that, it’s been good and we’ve never had any major issues. Like anywhere it depends on the grade level team and the specific teachers. I try to stay out of the PTO gossip because I think it can get toxic. But I am not hearing about a bunch of teachers being unhappy like a couple of years ago so seems like things have stabilized. |
They changed the flow of traffic so you don’t circle back through a parking area where people are getting their kids out of the car on your way back out of the school. It seems like there are more staff out there and they’re enforcing the rules a little better now too. Of course you still get some entitled people who do things they have been asked not to do, that holds up the entire line. But it’s definitely better than before. |
| No News is Good News. At least in my family we learn ahead academically. Kids go to school to socialize. They like going to school so that's good indication. |
Gee. What every employer is looking for. Someone who comes to work to socialize. |
