Which one do you prefer getting from friends and family.
When do you prefer one over the other.

Text. You have time to read it, absorb it, and think about how to respond. I don’t mind talking on the phone - unlike my Gen Z kid, who hates talking on the phone - but I am kind of offended by a call out of nowhere. My sister and I begin every call with, “There’s nothing wrong!”

Text. Even if I don't mind talking on the phone, it never hurts to coordinate via text so I'm not driving or in the middle of dinner.
