Anyone watch the new Malcom in the Middle?

I have never even seen one episode of the original series, but if it seems like people are thinking it's fun I might watch it.

I haven't seen an episode in years but I was surprised to read that the premise of the new series is Malcolm is estranged from the family. That sounds sort of heavy? I just remember them being a typically zany sitcom family..

Don’t want to spoiler it, but I don’t think it will go under estranged

The original was fairly dark as far as sitcoms go. It feels like that would have been a natural progression for a reboot. Malcom thinks he has his life together now that he got that pesky family out of his hair but later realizes what he’s been missing all these years.

It was just a handful of episodes covering a period of a few days telling one story.

I enjoyed it and wish it would continue.
