Realtor disclosed negotiation

We had a contract fall through after negotiations and ultimately we then ended the contract with our realtor. I contacted a different realtor to discuss the house and this relator wrote me an email with all the details of the negotiation from the prior contract (this new realtor was not involved at all). When I googled this, this state’s laws say all negotiations are held in confidence. I don’t know whether our prior realtor told this person or the other realtor did.

All that said, what should we do? Say something to the prior realtor? Or forward the email to both realtors putting them on notice that we know the details were provided to an outside party? Or just ignore?

I would ask the new agent how they know all the details. If it is allowed in your state (1 party rule) I would record the conversation.

I would also contact a real estate lawyer and ask. You might find a forum for real estate law where you'll get a response.

I'm confused - are you trying to buy the house with a new realtor?

Are you sure this realtor was not the sellers’ realtor on the purchase you did not close?

You also do not know if the previous sellers are the ones who disclosed the details. I don't actually think this is worth any thought on your part b/c it's not going to help you get the house you lost and will just flag you as nutty and vengeful. Next time you have a contract, if any of the known parties are involved, they will be sure to tell the sellers you are spiteful and difficult. This will only hurt you getting a house.
