I am curious why you locked this thread

I went to read to the girl dinner thread, and saw that you had closed it and linked a thread from 3 years ago.

I feel like all of DCUM is the same topics repeating. If we can debate which schools are the real Big3 or whether it’s ok to ask for clarification on whether it’s ok to ask for clarification of you don’t know if your kids are invited to someone, then sharing ideas for the same type of food twice in 3 years doesn’t seem excessive.

Someone reported the thread that is in Off-Topic and said that it was duplicating one in the Food forum, which is the more appropriate forum for the topic. I didn't realize that the one in the Food forum is 3 years old. I agree that a second topic in 3 years is acceptable and will unlock the new thread. But, I'll also move it to the Food forum.
