Easter message from Artemis

Anonymous
Before entering radio silence behind the moon on April 6, 2026, Artemis Il mission specialist Christina Koch radioed a heartwarming sign-off to Earth: " And to all of you down there on Earth and around Earth, we love you, from the Moon. We will see you on the other side"

The message was delivered just before a 40-minute communications blackout while the Orion capsule was on the far side of the moon.

The crew included some religious themes and thoughts in their messages:

Christina Koch shared that the Easter is a time "many religions and many cultures hold dear" and is marked by "solemnness, honoring what's going on both in our world and in our religious beliefs".

Jeremy Hansen: Explicitly mentioned Jesus, stating: "No matter your faith or religion, for me the teachings of Jesus were always a very simple truth of love - universal love. Love yourself and love others".

Victor Glover: Discussed Christ's "greatest command" to love God and one's neighbor. He also reflected on Earth as a "God's oasis" in the universe.”

These are highly trained, skilled, and educated scientists.

Beautiful message from Christians about peace and love that comes from the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.

Those are pretty generic statements about being a good person that don't really say anything about the faith of the speakers.

It definitely doesn’t sound Christian to me.

Are you a Christian?

What about the message sounded like it was not Christian?

Yes, I am Christian.

Christians are like he has risen, he died for our sins, we are saved.

It’s very nonsectarian to say Jesus was a human. He walked on our earth and he taught about love.

did you see the orange POS's proposed cuts to NASA's budget?

they were hostages.

Gospel of John stresses love. Read it, "Christian"

I'm skeptical if these messages were written by astronauts or given to them to deliver? One thing is certain that being way up there, puts petty human politics of race, religion, culture and class in perspective of having zero value. Every life is precious, if you don't get it, don't claim to be Jesus's follower.

So you think every Christian has to express themselves to your standard or they aren’t Christian?

Yes I like their god much better than the Christian nationalists running things now.

Not that PP but yeah some sects/denominations do.

I like the message, but as is probably true with these astronauts, I'm an atheist. You like the message and still not be a believer.
