I thought our dog was potty trained..but yesterday she had two accidents. Granted..we have been relaxed about giving treats because we thought she was potty trained.. I immediately started taking her out more .. like every hour/two hours (at the protest of everyone in my family) and reinstated treats. Today..no accidents.
Anyway.. what has been your experience with potty training regressions. How do I go back to no accidents? How important are treats? |
| In my opinion it's not just about treats, it's also a out routine. Were you relax about dog's schedule lately? |
| I've never used treats to potty train, so you can go either way with that. The frequent trips to the yard are the important part. At 9 months old, though, check for signs that she is going into heat. If she isn't and keeps having accidents, take her to the vet as she may have a UTI |

My puppy had a massive regression when we had the snowcrete. He was 9-10 months old. He went from 0 accidents to 0% going out to potty. It was awful!
He has done well since then, but he is still needing a belly band at night because he wets it once per week when he is in a deep sleep. |
