My kid is getting speech training in another language virtually and she is interested doing it in English. Where should I send her?
She treats it like a kind of a performance, like TV hosts. Prefer dc location but MD VA are both fine too. Thanks! |

Acting Classes?
Montgomery College apparently offers a wide variety of classes and camps (I have no direct experience with MC). I don’t know how old your daughter is, but there might be some programs that would be useful for her. https://www.montgomerycollege.edu/_documents/workforce-development-continuing-education/youth/youth-summer-2026.pdf You might also check with Toastmasters and see if they can recommend anything for kids, but I think they’re organized for adults. |

I am a little unclear because articulation and public speaking are two really different things.
Are you looking for help with articulation (making speech sounds), like you'd get from a speech therapist? Or help with something like making speeches or acting for film/broadcast? Theatre Lab in DC has had classes for the latter. Their website isn't showing them now, because registration for spring is over, and so now their website just shows summer camp. If you can get your kid interested in acting, that is a great way to develop confidence and presence. But doing it in person makes much more sense than online. |

more like both. I got a speech therapist already and is working of pronounciation. and then next direction would be public speech, acting etc.
I will look into Theatre lab. Thanks!
