Orchardale?

Does anyone know anything about this neighborhood? We know it's close to Metro and close-in Chevy Chase but we're wondering about community make up and ammenities? Thanks!

we live in the adjoining neighborhood of Brookdale. There are a ton of families wth children ranging in age of newborn to teenagers. A great park on Dalton Rd. Geico owns a lot of the property in Orchardale and so there is a mix between renters and owners. The best is being in walking distance to Friendship Heights...that is why we moved here. There is a pool in the neighborhood but there is a 6 year waiting list!! Westbrook is a great school, getting over crowded (like all MCPS's) and is slated for a renovation in 2013.
