We have a problem that’s covered under an extended warranty.
Subaru requires we go to a dealer to cover it. However, I want to avoid a dealer that will make up a whole bunch of other problems. Any recommendations? Thanks |
| Stohlman in Tysons is fine. I bought my car there and had it serviced there for years. They occasionally tried to get me to do services I didn't need right then. But they didn't make things up, if that makes sense. |
| That’s makes plenty of sense. Thanks. |
Same. I don't go there for regular maintenance but they're fine. |
| Agreed with Tysons. Never had an issue with them, great service. |

Agree Tysons.
|
| Agree, we had a good experience with Stohlmans over 15 years. |

OP again. Any to avoid?
The video of their inspection is a new twist for me. Then a laundry list of $4,000 worth of things to repair in addition to the covered repair. I’ll take the list to local shop, consult and prioritize. But for the next time I’m stuck, any dealer service centers to avoid also appreciated. |
Next time buy an extended warranty at a service shop you like. In regards to original question, just say no. You want the problem solved and that’s it. Just go where it’s convenient for you. |
