Fairfax and Loudon Break Ins

Anonymous
I have yet to hear any breaking news. Anyone know where they last hit? There has been over 100 incidents since summer time. I'm afraid I would get myself into trouble if they came here. I'd go all vigilante on them......

Are you talking about the Fairfax and Fairfax Station area break ins? I haven't heard anything about Loudoun. There was a man murdered recently in the Fairfax area. It appeared to be a break in gone wrong.

We live in Springfield and it appeared that someone tried to break in here in the middle of the day. Our gate was open, things were moved on the deck and a neighbor had a break in the same day. I'd like to think that our large, loud and obnoxious dog scared them off. I was attacked by an intruder when I lived in Florida. This stuff makes me completely fucking mental.

Lock your doors. Many of these burglaries were the result of windows/doors being unlocked. Be mindful of your neighborhood. Contact the police if you see suspicious persons/activity.

Here's an interactive map with all of the break-ins linked to the serial burglar in Fairfax County:

Keep your windows and doors locked and don't leave your purse laying within sight of any windows in your house.

Word on the street is that the police have a suspect, but don't have enough evidence yet to arrest.

Off of Pohick, so we're close to Lorton.

They are targeting homes with large lots. If you are in a neighborhood with smaller lots you are probably good.
