Confirmed Union ECNL player at Arlington practice. Not gonna say more. |
Mexico 2-0. The world is passing us by while we have parents arguing over U13 girls soccer at Whole Foods in McLean, Vienna, and Arlington. Not gonna say more. |
Can we get to 100? Not gonna say more. |
Lindsay Horan's comments may have been harsh, but she's not entirely wrong. The world is passing us, but people here probably don't have the most objective reasonings on why. |
VDA has players from other clubs (regardless of league) show up and practice throughout the year. They have never followed the rules and if you dont workout with them, don't bother going to ID session. They already know who they are picking up next year. You may not like the leadership there, most of us don't. But their soccer training is some of the best in the area. |
Two simple reasons: 1 The rest of the soccer playing nations started socially accepting Women's soccer 2 International students are attending American colleges to play soccer US 🇺🇸 has lost both those previous advantages. |

But their soccer training is some of the best in the area. LOL It is definitely the best if your sport is rugby. Zero soccer IQ but man can they foul. |
Best training in the area? Agree with other posts. They just want athletes that they feel they can joystick to wins, they don't care about soccer IQ or players that can solve problems for themselves on the field. |

Exactly why they don't compete on a national level. They've hit a plateau they can't get past. BP will take them to the next level of college recruiting and then expect it to blow up because when you add fuel to a toxic environment, well that's what you get. |
VDA had 2 teams advance to ecnl round of 16 last year. The rest of NOVA combined had zero. Sounds like they’re competing nationally. College recruiting is already great but BP will make it better. VDA actually favors the small technical players. Parents see it and some don’t get it. Good to see all you parents are still mad. |
Is this a VDA flex 💪🏽? Nice I bet your swole too bro |
Just because teams may have small technical players here or there, doesn't mean they know how to play the game. BP is going to be like adding fuel to an already toxic fire. Will be interested to see how this all plays out in a few years. My guess? He doesn't last as long as he did at FCV. |
Wow, parents speaking as they know how to play or know the game. Most of them have no idea or have ever played the sport, yet comment nonstop.
Let your kid play and move out of the way, is their journey, not yours. |
It's their journey but parents are the support behind them. Most of the comments I've seen relate to leadership issues which is fine to comment on IMO.
The rest is subjective, success can be subjective also. People perceive that VDA is a powerhouse but considering all the problems and their 'best' class is graduating, of course they're going to make a move to try to shore their teams up hoping players come flocking in and they field another successful team by luck. |
Sure, support is fine. Trying to steer the clubs and coaches is another, while also trying to look experts in the sport. Most of them have no clue. |
